Does the Center of Gravity (CG) Really Matter?

Drilling a bowling ball with postivie or negative CG in past days was the thing to do. Today, with the aggressive coverstock and weight blocks, CG placement is debatable Brunswick's R&D team put the CG to the test using their throwbot.

If you think the CG matters, watch the video and mark which ball you think each shot is.
One of the balls is 5/8 oz negative and the other is 2 1/8 oz positive.
