December 2010 Tip of the Month

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

I used to think I was a good bowler. I carried a 190 average in two leagues, rarely missed a spare, and had a high game of 290. Lately I couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle. Most nights I can't get the ball consistently to the pocket, especially after the first game. It dives through the nose no matter how hard I throw it. If I move inside, it misses the headpin entirely.

And spares - don't get me started. I can't pick up a corner pin to save me. My teammates say I'm dropping my shoulder, swinging behind my back, or charging the line.

Please, Santa, what I'd really like for Christmas is my old bowling game back.

Dear Frustrated,

I'm Santa Claus, not a miracle worker.

Find a coach. Take a lesson.
