This website runs on a dedicated server which allows us full access to customize the web server as we like. Also, this means
we are the only ones using the server's system. This keeps our up time high and page response time faster.
This is unlike many other bowling sites, even some that require membership fees. They use shared space that has hundreds of web sites running on them at the same time.
This creates slower page response time and they are more vulnerable to downtime by impact from other web sites.
Our entire database is also backed up on a daily basis and stored on two different computers.
Furthermore, the website is developed on an independent set of test servers that have their own backups. This allows us very good
data recovery in the case of a failure that creates data loss.
I started bowling when I was about four years old at my father's bowling center, Pacific Lanes.
I began bowling more seriously during high school in the early 90s bowling in many junior tournaments.
I also work full time as a programmer in the telecommuncations industry. I regularly bowl PBA Regional
events and coach at local centers.
