About Me
I started bowling when I was about four years old at my father's bowling center, Pacific Lanes.
I began bowling more seriously during high school.
I regularly bowl PBA Regionals, tournaments, and PBAX leagues.
My Philosophy
Generally when working with bowlers, I look for improvements with consistency as it relates to posture and timing. My goal at the end of the session is to give you
a couple of key points that can make immediate improvements. I do not believe that your scores and ability will get worse before it gets better.
You should always be able to build and improve on what you have. If there is something specific you would like to work on such as, release versatility (changes in rotation, tilt, speed, etc...), spare shooting, or working
on different lines, the full session can be devoted to working on these types of specific items.
I also emphasize the importance of using video to improve your game. Videos are taken at the beginning and end of each session. Videos are stored on
my system, as well as online for your reference. These videos can be used to track progress across months or years of bowling evolution.
It is important to take video at both when you are bowling well, or feel like something is slightly off. Also, video is a great tool to use
while experimenting with different releases to see what effect you are really
having on the shot. I am one of the few coaches that have high speed video, look below in the Video Analysis section to see how this can be very important when
looking at release characteristics.
